By the 100th anniversary of the independence of Latvia, the oldest Latvian credit company Creditreform Latvija, in cooperation with the portal CrediWeb and the newspaper Latvijas Bizness, ranked the oldest and most successful enterprises in the country. The list was created according to two criteria:
1) the year of registration of the company 1991 - the year of the renewal of Latvia’s independence,
2) the company's compliance with the certificate of solvency CrefoScore.
In 1991, when it became officially possible to register a business, 16,289 enterprises were opened in Latvia, of which 4,790 continue to operate to this day.
According to the second criterion, only those enterprises that meet the highest risk classes, the first and second, were selected. Of all firms established in 1991, 251 companies met this requirement.
Marmors ranks 60th in the list.
